OBXSSD · Website & app

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026

This notice is provided by OBXSSD and explains how information is used when you visit obxssd.com or use the OBXSSD app, create an account, listen to music or request downloads.

Account information

When you create an account, you provide a username, email address and password. OBXSSD uses your email and password for sign-in and your username as your profile handle. Email confirmation is required to unlock free downloads.

Account records include your profile and account creation date. Your email is also used for confirmation, password recovery and account-related messages. The artist receives an account report containing usernames, email addresses, join dates and download counts—not passwords.

Download history & email choices

When you request a download, OBXSSD records your account identifier, email address, the release requested and the request time. These records support download access and the history shown in your profile. A recorded request does not prove that your browser saved the file to your device.

Your download history is shown to you when signed in, rather than published as a visitor list. Download requests also record your separate choice about promotional emails. Promotional consent is optional and is not required to download. Account and download-related messages are separate from promotional updates.

The profile currently displays download history and a purchases section. There is no purchase system in place, so OBXSSD does not currently collect payment details through that section.

Listening activity & public play counts

OBXSSD records a play when a track actually starts playing, using a release identifier and a per-visit event identifier. Pausing, resuming or seeking within the same page visit does not count as another play for that track.

Aggregate totals are displayed publicly and used to order releases by popularity. Individual play events are not published as a list of listeners. Public totals are separate from the download history in your account.

Google Analytics

OBXSSD uses Google Analytics to understand visits and engagement. Listening and download-handoff events include release details such as the track identifier, title, artist and file information. A download event measures the handoff to your browser, not a confirmed save to disk.

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers and process technical information about your browser, device, pages visited, referral source and approximate location. Google's own privacy information explains its handling of this information. OBXSSD does not include your account email, username or password in its track-listen or track-download event fields.

Google Privacy Policy

Browser storage & other services

Browser storage is used to maintain your sign-in session and remember the selected release during email confirmation. Clearing that storage may sign you out or remove the remembered selection; it does not delete your account.

OBXSSD uses hosting, account and email-delivery services to operate the website and app. Google Analytics processes analytics information. Embedded YouTube videos and links to music or social platforms may also involve those services, which have their own privacy notices.

Booking enquiries

If you submit a booking enquiry, you provide your name, email, event or venue, date, set length, time slot and any message you choose to add. Those details are used to respond to the enquiry, notify the artist and send you a receipt. An enquiry receipt is not a confirmed reservation.

Your choices & privacy requests

You can review your download history in your signed-in profile, manage sign-out options there, and use password recovery if you lose access. You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings.

You can permanently delete your account from your profile or the account-deletion page after confirming your current password. This removes your sign-in account, profile and download request records, including stored promotional preferences. Public aggregate play totals and files already saved on your device remain. Previously delivered emails and third-party analytics records are not automatically erased by account deletion.

For questions about your information or requests to access, correct or remove other personal data, contact obxssd@gmail.com. Please do not send your password. Identity verification may be needed. Contacting OBXSSD does not automatically delete an account.

This notice does not promise a fixed retention period or automatic deletion schedule. Contact OBXSSD for information about retention or a particular privacy request.
